Matej earned his law degree from the Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague in 2015. He specializes in corporate law, real estate law, contract law, and litigation. He has extensive experience in all forms of corporate transformations, including cross-border mergers. His practice also includes advising on relationships between companies, their shareholders, and members of governing bodies. Matej assists clients with real estate transactions, leasing matters, and negotiating supplier-customer contractual relationships. He represents clients in civil litigation proceedings.

Zoltán has extensive experience in financial market regulation, gained at the Czech National Bank, a leading Czech commercial bank, and as the head of the compliance department at an investment company. Zoltán specializes in capital markets, investments and investment funds, public offering regulations and prospectuses, as well as AML (anti-money laundering) compliance. 

Michal is a highly qualified and experienced compliance and internal audit professional specialising in investment services, consumer and customer protection in the distribution of a wide range of financial products, personal data protection, prevention of market abuse and prevention of money laundering.

Jarmila specializes in the regulation of investment services, collective investment, insurance distribution, and market abuse. She gained her experience at the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic in the capital market regulation department and as an internal auditor and compliance officer at one of the largest banks in the Czech Republic. She is also a co-author of the commentary on the Investment Companies and Investment Funds Act (ZISIF).

Daniel is an experienced attorney specializing in commercial law, IT/IP law, including data protection and cybersecurity regulation, as well as personal data protection regulation. Throughout his career, he has provided legal services to leading entities in e-commerce, fintech, and telecom sectors in the Czech Republic and the Central and Eastern Europe region. At GPP & Co, he is responsible for managing projects related to data protection and personal data protection, as well as related issues.

Aleš has extensive experience in the capital markets. Prior to joining GPP & Co, he worked as a senior expert in supervision and control of the capital market in the Czech National Bank, a legal advisor in the investment department in the Office of the Financial Arbitrator, an investment broker at investment intermediary specializing in stocks and an investment manager of the real estate portfolio.

Margit brings extensive expertise in data protection and compliance governance, gained experience both in national and international context. She held senior managerial role at a leading banking group in the Czech Republic and subsequently at its mother company, where she was responsible for overseeing a team of Data Protection Officers across subsidiaries. At GPP&CO she is a member of the compliance advisory and audit team providing strategic support to clients in complex regulatory requirements.

Robert is an experienced lawyer in the areas of regulation, law, and compliance within the financial sector. He previously worked for both life and non-life insurance companies, providing legal support in the DACH, CEE, Ireland, and Nordic regions, focusing on corporate governance, M&A, compliance, fintech/insurtech, outsourcing, contractual matters, product management and distribution management, PRIIPs, AML, ESG, and DORA. He spent several years at the Czech National Bank, the EIOPA authority, and in supervisory authority colleges.

Karina is a junior associate specializing in the regulation of services related to crypto-assets, legal aspects of investment in investment funds, and commercial law. Her practice also focuses on contract law, particularly on drafting and negotiation of agreements.

Dagmar has been active in the legal field for many years, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the office on both the organizational and administrative levels. She gained her extensive experience in leading Czech law firms, where she supported teams specializing in commercial, capital markets, and criminal law. With her systematic approach and keen eye for detail, she is an indispensable part of the firm’s daily operations.

Klára is a paralegal with a primary focus on financial markets regulation and investment funds. She also takes an active interest in data protection law. Prior to joining our team, she gained several years of experience in the legal department of an investment group.

Marek is a legal assistant and a student at the Faculty of Law, Charles University, with an interest in finance, cryptocurrencies, and investing in securities. Prior to joining GPP & Co, he gained experience as a legal assistant in a smaller law firm focused on general practice. In the long term, he aims to develop his career in corporate law, where he plans to combine his legal skills with an analytical approach to financial markets.

Jindřich is a paralegal and a student at the Faculty of Law of Charles University. Prior to joining GPP & Co, he gained experience in Czech boutique law firms specializing in commercial and financial law. In the future he would like to specialize in corporate law and capital market regulation.

Jan is a legal assistant and a fifth-year law student at the Faculty of Law of Palacký University, with a primary interest in contract law and tort law. Before joining GPP & CO, he worked as a legal assistant in a law firm focused on general practice. As a future trainee attorney, he hopes to further develop and specialise in the areas of obligations law and corporate law.

Daniel is a student at the Faculty of Law at Charles University and a student of Economics at the Prague University of Economics and Business. As a legal assistant at our firm, he focuses on compliance matters within the capital market sector. In the future, he intends to focus on regulatory risk management and establishing compliance processes.
